Joe Biden will nominate Merrick Garland as attorney general

President-elect Joe Biden will nominate federal appeals court Judge Merrick Garland to serve attorney general, the nation’s chief law enforcement officer, two people familiar with the selection process told the Associated Press on Wednesday.
